ZuAfrique 1.0 General Report
Africa’s technological direction has often been decided outside of Africa — in gatherings, conferences and events of similar nature that inherently lack African representation or participation. Consequently, Africa has had to chart courses characterised by inadequate understanding of its environmental intricacies, or adopt paths tailor-made for different geographies. Despite this stark reality, events on the continent dedicated to facilitating knowledge sharing, co-creation and productive discussions to collectively shape the path of African innovation have been a rarity. ZuAfrique was born to change this narrative.
ZuAfrique 1.0 Impact Report
ZuAfrique was a three-week immersive “pop-up city” organized by AyaHQ in Kilifi, Kenya, with support from Lisk. The experience convened over 60 residents from across the African and global Web3 ecosystem to explore the human side of decentralized systems through co-living, co-creation, and shared cultural space.

muAccra Report
From the day 1 of muAccra, we stood together as diverse groups of builders, opening a new chapter for the web3 ecosystem in Africa. And we are proud to say we have met our goals for muAccra, setting the stage for a long-term plan led by African leaders for African builders, the African Onchain Collective.
muAccra Hackathon
The muAccra Hackathon is an event designed to engage African Web3 talent in using blockchain technology to address current challenges. The hackathon attracted top talent within the African Web3 ecosystem namely; Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya & Uganda to develop impactful projects that leverage blockchain technology.
Hack4FUTO
AyaHQ has served as the headline sponsor of Hack4FUTO, partnering across consecutive editions to empower builders and drive innovation within the African tech ecosystem. This sustained collaboration reflects AyaHQ’s commitment; funding each edition, providing technical support, and seamlessly hosting the hackathons on the AyaLabs platform. Through this partnership, Hack4FUTO has expanded its reach and impact, equipping hundreds of builders with the resources to create real-world solutions. Ayathon
The maiden edition of the pan African Hackathon (software development), Designathon (design development), and Markethon (marketing & content development) platform - Ayathon 1.0 is designed to engage and showcase the dexterity of African web3 talent using blockchain technology to develop solutions to present-day challenges.
EMPACT Training Program

Lisk x AyaHQ Hackathon
AyaLabs, in collaboration with Lisk, hosted the AyaHQ x Lisk Hackathon, a hybrid event focused on developing innovative blockchain solutions to tackle real-world challenges. Over three days, 77 participants engaged in building projects across key blockchain areas, guided by industry experts, with opportunities to win prizes and gain further support through the Builders Program. Participants joined from three physical locations and remotely, ensuring a dynamic and inclusive experience.
